About The American Association of University Women (AAUW) International Fellowship The American Association of University Women (AAUW) International Fellowship is open to women who are not United States citizens or permanent residents and are eligible to receive International Fellowships for full-time study or research. These fellowships are intended to support graduate or postgraduate studies at accredited institutions. The selection of recipients is based on academic achievement and demonstrated commitment to women and girls. The vast majority of recipients return to their home countries to become leaders in various fields such as government, academia, community activism, the arts, and science. Both graduate and postgraduate studies at accredited U.S. institutions are supported. Applicants must have earned the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor’s degree by the application deadline and must have applied to their proposed institutions of study by the time of the application. Fellowship Benefit The fellowship benefits are as follows: Master’s/first professional degree: $20,000 Doctoral: $25,000 Postdoctoral: $50,000 Eligibility Criteria for the American Association of University Women (AAUW) International Fellowship Applicants who want to register for the American Association of University Women (AAUW) International Fellowship must meet the following criteria: Applicants must have earned the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor’s degree by September 30, 2017, and must have applied to their proposed institutions of study by the time of the application. Up to five International Master’s/First Professional Degree Fellowships are renewable for a second year.
