Nottingham Trent University (NTU) is a leading public research institution located in Nottingham, one of the most prestigious cities in the United Kingdom.

It wasn’t initially a university at the time it was established. The Nottingham Trent University first started as the “Nottingham Government School of Design” in 1843. It eventually graduated to a polytechnic roughly 30 years later (1970) and stayed that way for two decades before it was granted university status in 1992.

Since then, the university has stayed committed to its motto “shaping futures” by providing over 27,000 students with the liberty to study more than 500 different degree programmes within the safe confines of the university’s three campuses – City, Clifton, and Brackenhurst. These campuses are kept in check by nine different external bodies.

NTU has also maintained a proud global outlook since it obtained its university status in 1992. It has an annual report that proves over 7,000 of its students are studying overseas at various partnered colleges, and more than 2,600 students from all over the globe are currently enrolled at the Nottingham site.

In the past few years, the Nottingham Trent University has been decorated with a few significant awards, including being ranked by the “People & Planet Green League” as one of the most environmentally-friendly universities in the United Kingdom. Scholarships at Nottingham Trent University

Below is a quick overview of the upcoming scholarship programs at NTU

NTU Bursaries

NTU will be awarding an annual cash grant of £750 to eligible full-time UK home undergraduate or foundation degree students who begin their programmes at NTU.

Type: Undergraduate and foundation degrees

Eligibility

The £750 cash award will be given to students who:

• pay the maximum home tuition fee for their full-time undergraduate or foundation degree course
• have an income of £25,000 (or less) per year
• Must be eligible to receive a Tuition Fee and a Maintenance Loan from the UK National Student Finance Service

Value

The £750 grant will be given to the selected student(s) every year to supplement living costs till the end of his undergraduate or foundation degree course at NTU.

Scholarship for international and EU students

Nottingham Trent University is offering a scholarship award to Postgraduate students who have received an unquestionable offer to study with the school in January or September 2020.

Type: Postgraduate degrees

Eligibility

• You must have received an unconditional offer to study with NTU in January or September 2020
• All international or EU postgraduate students

Value

The selected student will be given an annual grant up to an amount of half his tuition fee till the end of his study course.
